Forgotten Worth

I wrote this for our friend James (HVR) a few weeks ago. I did not post it because I did not want to without his permission, I have gotten his permission so please enjoy and as usual the words are mine the music and singing is Suno.

Ben has always been one of my favorite songs.

So has Thank You for Being a Friend,

so out of all those came this

Suno sings

I write.

But right now, I have a friend

who needs to know he is not alone.

His life at home is hell.

He has walked through hell on earth,

and because of that

this man has forgotten his worth.

So let me say this plain and true

I have never feared you,

never doubted you.

You have always been right there,

and you need to know

I speak for me

I am not going anywhere.

Why would I do a foolish thing like that?

Because of rumors, or words meant to hurt?

Because someone finds amusement

in throwing dirt?

No.

I said it before,

and I will say it again,

so listen close, my friend

and you always will be

my friend

beginning,

middle,

and end.

That is all there is to that.

You need to look inside yourself

and see what I see

you are a good man.

That is a fact.

Ask your daughter

even she will tell you that.

So hear me clearly now

your friends are here,

night and day.

And I promise

I will not drop the ball again.

Because you mean a lot to me,

my friend.

So I leave this here,
